Gaido facilitates meaningful travel experiences by matching tourists with local guides who provide recommendations based on real information rather than sponsored content.
Client Overview
About the Project
By emphasising authenticity and personalisation, our client, a travel-tech startup, aimed to revolutionise how tourists discover new places. Their objective was to create a mobile application that links users with local guides who share hidden gems, distinctive attractions, and cultural experiences, while avoiding the crowded field of sponsored travel platforms. They aimed to offer a platform that connects tourists who have an insatiable curiosity with residents who want to show off the real spirit of their city.
Our Approach
The Solution
We worked together with the client to create the cross-platform iOS and Android mobile application Gaido. Through an easy-to-use interface, the app allows users to plan their trips, connect with verified guides, and browse local recommendations. We created a streamlined planning tool that enables users to save and arrange their favourite locations in collections after conducting extensive user experience research. Guides can share thorough personal profiles outlining their recommendations in order to increase engagement and trust. Additionally, we implemented a revenue-generating plan that enables tourists to schedule one-on-one virtual consultations with local guides for customised guidance.
